This is my second stay. Good location, clean, well kept. There's plenty of free garage parking. The only drawback is NO AC if that's something you need. As it's near the water, it's generally cool. The rooms have overhead fans. As well, BW has put an extra oscillating fan in each room.

We had a wonderful stay at Best Western Plus Monterey. Alan provided excellent service and was attentive, friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and we especially appreciated the spacious bathroom. Free parking was a big plus, and the rates were very affordable for Monterey. The location was also great...within walking distance of the wharf and other attractions. Great service, comfort, value, and location. We would definitely stay here again!

For a 3-star hotel, ...

For a 3-star hotel, this was excellent! The double bed was super comfortable for a great sleep in a very spacious room. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good enough with some different hot and cold options available (not the greatest but still very good). Free tea and coffee available from reception throughout the day. Although a little older property, still very highly recommended.
