There are some good ...

There are some good Best Westerns and some really good Best Westerns. Best Western Plus Monterey is one of the really good ones. We found the hotel to be very clean, well maintained and the staff very nice. The hotel is located close to cannery row, within walking distance. The are some good restaurants close, overall you can't go wrong with this hotel. The provide a breakfast, with some good food.

Guest rooms were spacious ...

Guest rooms were spacious and tastefully appointed and included a coffeemaker and refrigerator. Items on the hot breakfast buffet were very well prepared, ie. tasty scrambled eggs and sausages perfectly cooked. A USA Today newspaper was available every AM plus fresh coffee and tea fixings (Keurig) in the lobby. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very quiet and no bother from traffic noises.

Really great room for ...

Really great room for the money - had a fireplace! It was light and airy and close enough to the main tourist attractions we came to see. The bathroom was sparkling clean, a huge plus in my book. The breakfast was wonderful so we didn't start our day on an empty stomach. Will come back again when we visit Monterey next!
