Unfortunately, due to some administrative error, our room was not cleaned for the duration of our 4 night's stay. This was despite asking for a daily clean upon check-in, and after assurances from the front desk that it would definitely be cleaned after we checked out (technically) and checked back in to the same room for an extra night! As we were often away all day, by the time we returned, the cleaning staff had gone. Quite disappointing. However, that aside, we were very happy with the facilities, comfort levels and ambiance of the hotel and really enjoyed our visit. Even with the cleaning hiccup, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff that checked us in, were very friendly & informative. The rooms are ok, however the beds are very comfortable. There is no AC, so the room is very hot. There is a ceiling fan & a sliding door to open up for cooler air. The location is great. You are close to downtown, the wharf, cannery row, freeway access etc. There is a non heated swimming pool & a nice little jacuzzi which we got to use during our stay. Breakfast was alright, eggs were a bit watery. The dining space is very small, so if you plan to eat there, got to wake up early. Ice machine is only on the 1st & 3rd floor, so if you're on the 2nd floor, you know what that means.. Free coffee & hot chocolate in the lobby. A lot of ppl talked about the thin walls & hearing others, but it wasn't that bad in my opinion. Will stay again if visiting the area.
