Reviews from Satisfied Guests at the Best Western Plus Monterey Inn

Our room is spotless and nicely decorated. It's been updated from the pictures on the website. We got a deal from a hotel booking site so our room was upgraded with a fireplace. It's a gas fireplace with an electric ignition, so it takes a minute to start but works well. The breakfast in the lobby is a typical hotel breakfast, continental style with pastries, cereal, a waffle maker, and juice. The staff are very friendly. I haven't seen anything but smiles since we arrived. My daughter wanted a banana after breakfast was over and the front desk was very accommodating, and even let me take two. The location is great, less than a mile from Fisherman's Wharf. We haven't been to Cannery Row yet but it doesn't look too far on the map. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Monterey.

Having stayed at many Best Westerns and found them to be quite variable in both style and quality, I didn't know what to expect in Monterey. However, the Inn was easily comparable to Hilton and Hyatt hotels that I have stayed at in the area. Very nice rooms and excellent staff. Also, great location only a few minutes drive from downtown, Fisherman's Wharf, and Cannery Row. The only reason it didn't get five stars is that the breakfast situation was unequipped to handle the crowd. I'd definitely stay there again but would skip the free breakfast and eat at one of the many nearby choices.

Clean, comfortable, large room for a good price--not easy to find in Monterey. The kids loved it. Beautiful setting with the trees behind.
